Speech made visible

After research into the visual representation of information, sound and speech I've come up with quite a few methods of how the acceptance speech could be made visible. Letters can be represented in a whole manner a ways, such as;
Shapes/Symbols
Colours
Size
Angle
Code/Sequences

All of the above are examples of codes and hidden language that requires deciphering, I like the idea of a poster not being obvious as to what it is, something that provokes thought and makes you question what it actually is. Below are quick visual examples to help grasp a better understanding and feel for what I want to do.

Size
Although size is quite a simple concept it would be difficult to decipher the difference because there is only a tiny increase to each letter. Another issue that could arise would be the positioning/layout of the squares, it would be difficult to avoid making them look untidy and mismatched. I'm also concerned that the squares or different sizes have no relation to Tyler the Creator or his music and speech.

 Colour

The idea of using colour works a lot better than shape because the layout will be a lot more structured but again it doesn't relate much to the subject at hand, therefore would be doing it based on pure aesthetics. I went on to spell a word out using the coloured squares to further illustrate to myself what it could possibly look like.

Shape/Symbol

The symbols above a random but through further analysis and picking apart of both his song and speech the symbols will relate and depict aspects of them both, giving this idea more of a point and purpose. The example uses squares as the bounding box but that could be changed if something more relative crops up.  There are some problems I foresee such as it could become hugely confusing with an array of random symbols or the heavy bounding boxes mean a space has to be left between each one or else it would just to bold and distracting when deciphering.

Angles

Above are examples of how angles could be used to represent letters, theoretically all I am doing is coming up with a new method of displaying the alphabet, similar to just a new typeface like or code like morse code. However these angles would be much hard to understand than morse code because of the subtle angle change between each letter of the alphabet. If I was to create a poster using this method it would require some form of key of deciphering tool.

Although I originally suggested looking into angles as a form of representation for the alphabet I could see no way of relating it to Tyler the Creator, but during a recent discussion with a peer they pointed out how the angles are similar to those he uses often in his donut print as sprinkles. They suggested making them more into sprinkle like shapes to make it more obvious.

I found this suggestion really helpful because through the development and experimentation process I found the angles to be my favourite because they're the most original fresh idea out of the bunch but I struggles to find some point behind using angles.

Decision
I have chosen to investigate and experiment with the use of angles to represent sound and speech. I intend to develop this further into the finished article. The reason for going down this route is because of the opportunities and developmental potential it possess due to its relativity to the subject at hand.
