Design for web- web scamps

For the web session today we were asked to bring along three scamps of what our website could look like based on what we've seen already. We then placed them on our desk and walked around the class room giving feedback on each others. For the task I threw together some basic scamps but they're not final or decided yet it's all still in the development stage.

Feedback
Not sure what the subject is, clean clear layout, not too overwhelming making it good for navigation.

Might be to much white space could look bland, all the scamps are very similar to each other

What is the subject of the website, all the layouts seem very minimal and clean, try using pictures offset instead of central, every single one is placed in the middle.

I didn't find this little feedback session helpful at all, I don't know if I misunderstood what was needed to be shown but it didn't help me with the design or layout because people only seemed to focused on the subject as opposed to whether it'll be functional or easily navigated. That is what I'm more bothered about, it could be that my concept isn't certain yet, but the feedback received serves no purpose whatsoever.
